FBI can issue warrentless spying on Americans?!?!!

I read on Slashdot that as of October, the FBI will be able to spy on Americans with no warrant!

This is horrible. First Airports can take and inspect your computer (no more digital privacy...) then Police can track you via GPS tracking without a warrant (No more public privacy...) , and now the FBI can spy on you from your home?!?? That means we won't even have privacy in our own home.

People made a big deal because Google was invading privacy by scanning email (the same way any antivirus program does), then Google gets attacked for Maps with Street view (still pictures of public spaces.) How do we not protest the government spying on citizens who are in no way even suspect to crime?
